The presents are wrapped
The tree is decorated
This year is very different
No services to prepare
No Carol’s week after week to lose my voice to
No nativity or christingle’s
No midnight communion
No dashing from one Christmas Day service to another
Instead
The food is prepared and ready to cook
Sitting with some family and missing others
Relaxing with no work exhaustion in sight
Not worrying what is still left to be done
Watching carol services in a warm, safe home
Feeling grateful
Whatever your Christmas looks like this year
I pray it is happy and peaceful
Filled with the love of Christ
