Wanting to be good stewards of our world

I’ve always been interested in nature and the world around us. Particularly from childhood when we wanted to explore everything…

Being a good steward for me is looking after and working with the world around us.

Back in 1997 this is partly what drove the theme for my dissertation while I was at University of Northumbria in Newcastle studying 3D design. Looking at the value and availability of the timber we used to make good quality furniture that would last several life times. Also looking at how to make the supply of resources sustainable and keeping the local habitats healthy.

I wish now that I had managed to keep a copy of the dissertation, I’d quite like to read it again to see if I still agree with what I thought then.
