Backpacking with the saints by Belden Lane

I’ve just finished reading this book and it is a good read. Exploring spiritual journey in those wilderness places where we may not be most comfortable but where we can find everything we need.

For those exploring mindfulness you might find it useful.

I also like the fact that he quotes one of my favourite books… Frank Herbert’s Dune.

I have been also reading about some of our Celtic Christian Saints and the way they lived their lives recently. Steeped in prayer and living disciplined lives. How many of us can say we find this easy today – I find distractions are easy to find “Spirituality of imperfection” is a good way to sum me up!

I love this Quote that the more we cut our rope between God – each time we come closer to him as he ties it back up again.

Well worth reading.
