We have all we need…

I was not sure how I would cope on placement, being in circuit for three weeks…

I found though… that no matter where I was or what situation I was in, I was never out of my depth. In fact I found that I could cope with some situations better than I expected. Was that just the mindset I had gone with, or had I really leant on God…

I wonder how often do people think, I need certain skills to do that…! I’m not qualified. The fact is if God puts you in that situation then he will provide everything you need. For those closest to me they will know when it comes to holidays or planning anything, I generally plan well in advance and have what I might need for any eventuality.

Placement was different – I went with the basics, with everything I have learned in college and from my life… I hoped and prayed it would be enough. I knew on many occasions I would be with the minister I was shadowing, so if I messed up they would be there to help.

There were times I just had to trust that God would provide the insight, or the right words to say and there were some very unusual conversations.

I found I did have all I needed, I didn’t need to go with lots of resources or books. Just the love I have for sharing the gospel.
