Schools week ends at the river

This week first year students have been involved in schools week.

Having spent three days with a fellow student in a junior school my eyes have been opened!

I have seen such loving care from the teachers, and children who feel comfortable enough to ask anything.
The use of Technology and styles of teaching has certainly changed since my day at school.

The first two days we experienced life in class, helping and occasionally hindering the children with my spelling and maths.

Yesterday we went out with Year 6 to do some exploration along the riverside. We never lost anyone, nor did anyone fall in the river, though one almost did! I must admit I did laugh… We tried to help a dog walker find his dog, we never caught it though the dog walker was so kind to phone the school to let us know he arrived home safe.

The last few days have been a good laugh though very exhausting. I now have an even greater respect for the work teachers do.
